Down and back up again

I’m 3 days in and I’m trying to find my feet. Also my sense of direction it seems.

After a long first day which involved almost missing my ferry I began the second day looking forward to heading to Lannion. I must have been confused by the very choppy crossing because I ended up going south rather than east. I’ll put that down as a rookie error.

The good news was that because of this I ended up staying with some wonderful friends in Plouescat.

Day 3 started with sunshine and a much better day for cycling.  I actually made it to Lannion. Which was nice..........

Loved just getting some miles under my belt. I bumped into a couple in Morlaix who helped me with my bike up the steps and across the viaduct. They too had cycled around the world in the eighties. I wish i’d caught their names. Hopefully the power of the internet can track them down so I can thank them.

Leaving family and friends behind was extremely tough but I’ve met some wonderful people and it’s only day three.
